These cadences & grooves are noticeably challenging, and definitely will get those hands moving and that brain working.
Tabula Rasa - Difficulty: Advanced / Runtime: 0‘47
In "Tabula Rasa," the words mean "clean slate," or to "start over." I named it this because it was at the time that I was still in our high school drumline, and we basically started over as a drumline. This cadence is much more groovier, and has some intricate rhythms inside of the 12/8.
“Cleaning Lady?” - Difficulty: Advanced / Runtime: 3‘34
"Cleaning Lady," is a bit of a faster chop out session, and is on the more physically demanding side of this pack. Lots of fast doubles, and paradiddle-based passages.
This Is America - Difficulty: Advanced / Runtime: 1‘17
In "This Is America," this one was inspired by the outro kick pattern at the end of the infamous song by Childish Gambino. Thus, giving the setup for the entire groove pattern, and the rest of the cadence.
I Love It - Difficulty: Advanced / Runtime: 0‘56
And lastly, "I Love It," slows down a bit and also falls under the "groovy" side of this pack. Also with many fast double, and paradiddle-based passages. And to top it all off, is to the song by Kanye West & Lil’ Pump.
