His drum corps experience started in 2018 as a rookie in the Vanguard Cadets. He later marched with Vanguard Cadets again in 2019, this time serving as the trumpet section leader and soloist. Alex was most recently contracted to the Santa Clara Vanguard for the 2020 season which was unfortunately cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He plans to continue marching with SCV until his age-out year.

Alex gives trumpet, mellophone, and electric bass lessons in his free time and enjoys arranging music for the marching arts. His goal is to be mindful of each client’s needs and work to produce an effective, educational experience for the performers.
